“Covering Every Step in Prayer”
Prayer
Supporting Emmaus & Chrysalis through faithful prayer

How You Can Pray
“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:16
01
Pray for Retreats
Ask for peace, transformation, and closeness to Christ. Lift up each pilgrim and caterpillar by name. Pray for the team to serve with unity, humility, and love. Ask God to remove distractions, soften hearts, and make space for deep encounters with Him. Cover the speakers, worship, meals, and quiet moments. Pray that lives will be transformed and that each person leaves renewed, equipped, and inspired to follow Jesus more closely.
02
Pray for Servants
Lift up those who lead, serve, and support—from Lay Directors and Spiritual Directors to kitchen crews and agape teams. Pray for strength, wisdom, and a heart of joyful service. Ask God to renew their spirit as they pour into others. Cover table leaders and assistants as they walk closely with their pilgrims and caterpillars. May every act of service reflect Christ’s love and bring glory to God.
03
Pray for Fruit
Ask God to multiply the impact of each weekend beyond the retreat itself. Pray that transformed hearts would carry the love of Christ into families, workplaces, and churches. Lift up each pilgrim and caterpillar as they return home—renewed, empowered, and ready to serve. May their journey spark revival in their communities and deepen their walk with Jesus.
72-Hour Prayer Vigil
Sign-up for each retreat’s 72-hour prayer vigil. These are broken into one-hour time slots where you commit to pray for the participants, team, and community during the weekend. It’s one of the most impactful ways to support the movement—watch this space!

A Community Anchored in Prayer
Why Prayer Matters
Prayer isn’t just part of what we do—it’s the foundation of our Emmaus and Chrysalis community. Through prayer, we invite God to prepare hearts, provide workers, protect the weekends, and pour out His grace. It surrounds every aspect of the Walk and Flight experience with divine purpose and power. Scripture reminds us to “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.” – Ephesians 6:18 (NLT). Your prayers make a difference—before, during, and after each retreat.
