Prayer Vigils

Covering Each Retreat in Prayer
A prayer vigil is a way for our Emmaus and Chrysalis community to ensure that every hour of each retreat is bathed in prayer. During the 72 hours of a Walk or Flight, members of our community sign up for time slots to lift participants, servants, and the work of the Holy Spirit before God. This unbroken chain of prayer surrounds the weekend with spiritual protection, strength, and grace.

Prayer isn’t just part of what we do—it’s the foundation of our Emmaus and Chrysalis community. Through prayer, we invite God to prepare hearts, provide workers, protect the weekends, and pour out His grace in powerful ways. By joining a vigil, you play a vital role in ensuring each retreat is fully covered, even if you can’t be there in person.

How to Sign Up for a 1-Hour Prayer Slot

  1. Choose Your Time: Register for a 1-hour prayer slot that works for you.
  2. Set a Reminder: Mark your calendar or phone so you remember your prayer time.
  3. Pray Anywhere: Find a quiet space, and remember that God hears your prayers no matter where you are.
  4. Confirmation: After your prayer, feel free to share reflections (optional) and sign up for more slots if you’d like.

Thank you for your dedication to prayer!
