Agape has been working through the summer to prepare for our next walks which we are praying will be in March. Under the guidance of our agape faithful volunteer Donna Wilkerson, one of our conference room banners that have worn out is being remade. We have 180 beautiful crocheted prayer squares with crosses in the center of them also to add to our next walks.
As your reunion groups or small groups are making agape, we ask that you keep our Chrysalis kids in mind as well. As a board and community, we are making every effort to support our entire CCEC Community. For each walk, we ask for sixty items of agape and each flight 30 items. There are multiple websites available for cute, quick and inexpensive agape ideas. Instead of waiting for the walks to drop off your agape, we are asking that you bring your finished items to the upcoming gatherings at Pine Valley UMC in Wilmington on the 22nd of September or to Trinity UMC in Southport on the 6th of October. I will be at both of these events to happily collect your goodies.
I am always looking for volunteers during the weekends so please send me an email. Know that you do not need to commit to an entire weekend. We will happily welcome you even if it just for a few hours and have plenty of work that is sitting if those stairs are just too steep to maneuver.
Remember, God has no hands but ours!
Decolores!
